Old Cottage Furniture
Career as an interior designer and give it the focus and attention it needs. All of the time and challenges that come with keeping a monthly online feature running hasn't been easy. I did it and without hesitation because I loved it, and it was my baby. The Archives will remain available to you.
Before there was Pinterest and Instagram. Heck, before there were thousands of countless decorating blogs on the internet, there was a little feature know simply as Cottage of the Month. A kind of monthly meeting place where folks would gather, in a virtual sense. All around the globe, around the 1st of each month, we would collectively jump on our computers and scroll through picture after picture of other peoples homes.Strangers that we didn't know. It connected us, and it inspired us.
Looking back, I have so many memories of all of the funny and sometimes laughably tragic events that occurred surrounding this feature. All of the holidays we celebrated each year. The time I played an April Fools joke on everyone. The Summer's Gardens Tour. The Christmas contest. That time when we had just moved in our house and I had no furniture so my husband made me a makeshift desk on the floor so I could get Cottage of the Month out on time, because nothing could stop me. The times I ran into computer bugs and if I was so much as a few hours late due to internet issues, the emails I would get, making sure I didn't fall off the planet. You guys were just as passionate about these features as I was.
With all my heart, thank you for joining me here over the past 10 years. Thanks for all the memories. And thanks for loving my baby, just as much as I did.
